John Hughes is a nationally known artist whose paintings hang in both private and corporate collections throughout the United States.
Born in New York then a California and finally Utah transplant, John’s work has been influenced by many of the early California plein air impressionists through his associations with students of that school.
John has studied with many of the top artists of our time and has spent countless hours in the field honing his skills. He now teaches others how to paint in venues such as the Scottsdale Artist School and Salt Lake Community College where he has been teaching the landscape for the past 7 years.
Along with his teaching and painting John also writes a bi- monthly column for Utah’s premier art magazine 15Bytes titled Hints N’ Tips.
